Feed-back from an Italian fencer
Hi all!
I'm Giacomo, an Italian epee fencer who stayed in Copenhagen for 5 months because of the Erasmus program. During these months I joined the HFK club because I didn't want to stop training. But what I found there was more than a good level training, in fact there I met many nice and friendly people with whom I had great time. So if you are looking for a fencing club in Copenhagen no doubt you should go there!

Feed-Back from Matteo
I have been studying for three months at the University of Copenhagen and found my way to HFK by contacting them via email. I found myself really really well at HFK because of the friendly atmosphere and great helpfullness of the whole stuff. HFK is then really easy to reach with public transportation and that's another good point. At HFK I had big quality training twice a week, but I could also train four times for the same price, which is quite low compared to my homeland and to quality and availability of equipment at HFK. So if I come once again in Denmark, I will without doubt choose HFK again.

About the Club

Hellerup Fencing Club started in 1944 and over the years it has had as its goal to offer the opportunity to fence to all who are interested.
Hellerup Fencing Club is one of the few clubs in Denmark that has a full-time fencing master, together with a fencing hall, which is used only by the club every day of the week.
At Hellerup Fencing Club, it is possible to participate in daily training offered at all levels, to be part of the top team and to receive individual tuition from the club’s fencing instructors.
The club also offers different events for groups to participate in, for example: stag parties, company tournaments, arrangements for school classes, where everybody gets the opportunity to fence (see events).

Getting Started
There is an introductory course for beginners every fourth Sunday at 12:00 where anyone interested in fencing is most welcome. We suggest that beginners first participate in the introductory lesson before participating in regular training. An introduction lesson will give you an overview of the history of fencing, the equipment and techniques used, as well as the club’s goals and vision. The introduction lesson takes place in the fencing hall and you already get the opportunity at the introduction lesson to fence in the club’s wonderful facilities. Look in the club’s calender or on the news page for the dates of the Sunday Introduction lessons.

If you have already been to an introductory lesson as a result of a school visit, a child’s birthday or a company’s visit to the fencing club, there is no need to participate in the Sunday introduction lesson. Instead you can start training immediately - just check out our training times.
